Study Excursion Goes To Jogja - Malang

The Study Excursion (SE), which is one of the civil student programs and the Institut Teknologi Kalimantan Civil Engineering Study Program, can finally be held again after the COVID 19 pandemic. This activity, which was stopped during the pandemic, was carried out again by students of class 2020. The Study Excursion this time was attended by 22 students and 1 accompanying lecturer. The activity which was chaired by Deny Irawan and accompanied by lecturer Raftonado Situmorang, S.T., M.T. was carried out from January 8 to 14, 2023 using Menggala Tour services.

The Jogja - Bawen Toll Road is a project activity visited in this SE Activity, the Toll Road which is planned to operate in 2023-2024 is carried out in KSO between PT Jasamarga Jogja Bawen (JJB) and PT Adhi Karya. SE participants had the opportunity to get information sharing related to the Jogja Bawen Toll Road work at the project site office and also discuss with leaders such as the Site Manager of PT JJB and the Head of Site K3 Department of PT Adhi. After the presentation, the activity continued with giving souvenirs as a form of gratitude to PT Jasamarga Jogja Bawen (JJB) and PT Adhi Karya for the opportunity given to SE participants.

In addition to the presentation, SE participants had the opportunity to visit the Jogja Bawen Toll Road Section 1 project site in Sleman Regency. The works visited were Stone Column Work (at Grade) and Abutment Reinforcement (elevated). Participants obtained the purpose of SE activities, namely gaining knowledge, insight and direct observation in the field, so that knowledge that is usually given in theory from lectures, can be seen directly in the project.

After visiting construction projects, SE participants also traveled to several places in Jogjakarta and Batu City. The goal is to refresh before restarting lectures in semester 6 for students of class 2020. Some of the places visited were Malioboro, Mount Merapi Lava Tour, Santerra de lapponte Florawisata Flower Park, Museum Angkut, Coban Rondo Waterfall, and Eco Green Park.
