Balikpapan - One of the efforts to compete in the world of work is the ownership of a Certificate of Competence required by the Construction Services Law. So that the Civil Engineering Study Program and the Department of Civil Engineering and Planning in collaboration with the Banjarmasin Region V Construction Services Center carried out the “Certification of Work Competence in the Construction Sector at the East Kalimantan Provincial Education Institution, Kalimantan Institute of Technology”. This activity was held at the Auditorium Building A ITK, Balikpapan, on October 1, 2024.

The implementation of the activity was opened by Mr. Sumihar Panjaitan, S.T., M.T. as the Head of the Banjarmasin Region V Construction Services Center, this activity was also welcomed by Mr. Mohtana Kharisma Kadri, S.T., M.Eng. as the head of the Civil Engineering and Planning Department and was also attended by the Chairman of the East Kalimantan ATAKI DPP Mr. Zainal Abidin, S.T., as a Professional Certification Agency. In this certification, there were around 55 civil engineering alumni who participated in the certification, consisting of 32 people in the job title of Building Work Field Manager Level 6 and 23 people in the job title of Urban Drainage Field Supervisor Level 6. With competent results for all participants. The LSP that carries out the certification is ATAKI TUK ITK, which involves ITK civil engineering lecturers as assessors as many as 2 people, namely Mr. Ir. Raftonado Situmorang, S.T., M.T. and Mrs. Ir. Oryza Lhara Sari, S.T., M.T. plus 2 external assessors.
