Yogyakarta - Cooperation between universities needs to be carried out in the fields of Education, Research, and Community Service in order to improve the quality of education and competitiveness at the Higher Education level, especially in Kalimantan. Therefore, the Coordinator of the Civil Engineering Study Program, Dr. Ir. Hijriah, S.T., M.T. explored the initiation with Gadjah Mada University. This activity was held at Gadjah Mada University, Multi Function Room 1, 3rd Floor SGLC Building, Yogyakarta, July 18-20, 2024. Discussions were held with Gadjah Mada University which was attended by the Manager of Consumer Services, Community Service and Alumni, Dr. Ahmad Nasikun, S.T., M.Sc. as a representative of the dean of the Faculty of Engineering UGM and staff related to the topic of discussion. The results obtained are:
- The proposed Cooperation Agreement is still being reviewed by the legal services of the Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University.
- Although the PKS is still in process and has not been implemented, the Implementation of Cooperation can already be carried out in the form of Student Exchange activities, Guest Lecture Speakers, Curriculum Preparation Speakers, OJS Workshop Speakers, Student TA Examiners and Practitioner Lecturers.
- For Student Exchange activities, the Faculty of Engineering will coordinate in advance with the UGM Civil Engineering Study Program regarding the UGM Civil Engineering study program quota and the program mechanism.
- Another collaborative activity is to provide input to the Civil Engineering Study Program related to the curriculum review plan and the formation of the “Civil Engineering Building Design” course as a capstone design course in the upcoming 2025 curriculum.
